ESS Laser Protective Lens LPL-5+ provide protection against Visible Green, Violet & Blue and laser threats
Lasers can cause severe retina damage. ESS LPL-5+ lenses are specifically formulated to maximize protection against direct, reflected and scattered Visible Green, Violet & Blue laser beams and radiation. ESS LPL-5+ lenses protect against visible green lasers at a 532nm wavelength (OD 2.5+) and visible blue lasers wavelengths 445nm (OD 2.0+) and visible violet lasers wavelengths 405 (OD 1.5+). At a VLT of 42% photopic (daytime) and 18% scotopic (nighttime), the LPL-5+ allows enough light transmittance to be used in darker night time conditions.
The Crossbow eyeshield is built from extra-thick, 2.4mm high-impact polycarbonate, and features ESSOPTICS for distortion-free clarity and 100% UVA/UVB protection.
The Crossbow’s DedBolt Lens Lock system allows for rapid lens interchange.
All Crossbow replacement lenses are compatible with both Crossbow Tri-Tech Fit frames (for normal use) and Crossbow Suppressor frames (for use with ear cup hearing protection and communications gear). Crossbow lenses can also be used in Crosshair frames.
All Crossbow replacement lenses include a black Low-Pro Nosepiece and a protective flannel sleeve.

As part of the ESS Cross-Series eyeshield platform, all Crossbow components are compatible and fully interchangeable with the ESS Crosshair and ESS Suppressor. For example, you can upgrade a Crosshair to premium Crossbow anti-fog lenses–including ANSI-rated Polarized–or adapt for hearing protection use with the ultra-thin Suppressor frame.
