On the frontline at the nort easter border of Europe, the Finns are kept extremely busy in their neighbor. They somehow managed to find the time to show me the whole range of their extended and impressive capacities.
It was my first time in South Africa and it was a once in a lifetime experience. A couse that is very close to my heart, extremely welcoming and intresting people, K9, wild animals every everywhere and all that in a breathtaking scenery. It was definitely one of my most epic adventure with unforgettable memories.
Taiwan was also a first and it went well beyond my expectations. the unit made a long lasting impression on me with it professionalism, enthusiasm and open minded approach. They also went above and beyond with their friendship and desire to share with me their cultrure, delicious food and spectacular landscapes.

Finland – Karhu (Finnish Police Special Intervention Unit)
Established in 1972, the Police Special Intervention Unit, known as KARHU is a national police tactical unit in the Helsinki Police Department. The uni`s missions primarily involve apprehension of armed and dangerous criminals, hostage rescue crisis management, tactical law enforcement and special operations, counterterrosism, reconnaissance, executive and meeting venue protection. It is also tasked with supporting all police units everywhere in Finland.

Within the Taiwanese law enforcement system, the Criminal Investigation Burreau is responsible for the investigation of high-profile crimes, forensics and computer-related crimes. Even though musch smaller in size, it can somehow be compared to the FBI in some of its missions. Headquartered in Taipei, STU is its elite tactical force responsible for the most high risk and dangerous operations all over the country.
