The DermalTac Alpha is your K9's tactical "second skin". This state of the art, modular vest is comprised of 1,000 denier, hydrophobic Squadron laminate. The silhouette of the vest has been laser cut providing optimal air-flow throughout the vest while eliminating weight wherever possible. 

Furthermore, the vest has a padded back channel that stabilizes the vest and further ventilates the dog. If you plan on using a camera or other equipment on the dog's back, this of course provides additional stabilizing benefits.

Of course, the harness has Cobra buckles that can handle all the possible loads that the vest will be subjected to.

What makes this vest truly unique and one of the most modular and versatile vests available is the ability to quickly don a ballistic coverlet in seconds. Utilizing strategically placed rare-earth magnets, aligning and applying ballistics is a snap. DT Alpha is the dog's work uniform, and then ballistic protection or floatation is added as needed. With the built-in magnets that quickly guide the desired accessory into place. The only thing the K9 handler needs to do is attach the strap under the dog's belly. There is no longer a need to purchase multible vest for different scenarios. The DT Alpha vest is air worthy, fast-rope and dappeling approved and offers the strongest, lightest materials available. When things go sideways, simply lock on your ballistic or floatation covers (sold separately) while still having access to your front and back handles, the camera mounting inserts and your vertical luggage handle on your coverlet.

The "Full Kit" includes a leg harness and a Messenger Sling. The leg harness is for securing the dog's back legs when fast roping, rappelling and lifting. The leg harness is designed as a climbing harness for humans, where the legs are individually secured with wide pressure-relieving straps. This offers significantly higher comfort for the dog, while minimizing the risk of pressure injuries (which in the worst case can cause nerve damage). The dog can also work with the leg harness on, which saves a lot of time  when working. If you plan to repel etc. with your dog, we also recommend supplementing the harness with a ”Daisy Chain”.

The Messenger Sling is used to be able to quickly carry the dog like a shoulder bag. The Sling takes up very little space and is applied quickly and easily with two snap hooks onto the vest. This is very useful in case of various obstacles such as e.g. ladders or over surfaces where you do not want the dog to walk. The Messenger Sling can also be used to drag an injured dog into cover or similar.
